Serie DJI Zenmuse H30
The DJI Zenmuse H30 Series is the latest addition to DJI’s collection of hybrid sensor payloads, building on the success of its predecessor, the H20 Series. This series consists of the H30 and H30T (thermal) models, which offer mission versatility for a wide range of sectors, including public safety and inspection. The H30 series is an all-weather multi-sensor payload with wide-angle camera, zoom camera, laser rangefinder and NIR auxiliary light. It is compatible with two drones: the DJI M350 RTK and the DJI M300 – with the DJI RC Plus.
Key Features of the DJI Zenmuse H30 Series
- Enhanced Zoom Camera: Experience up to 400x digital zoom and 34x optical zoom in 48MP effective pixels with enhanced stabilization in telephoto videos.
- Laser sight: This payload can determine the distance of objects within an impressive range of 3 – 3000 m with an accuracy of 0.2 m below 500 m and 1 m above 500 m.
- NIR auxiliary light: Illuminate dark environments up to 100 meters away using NIR bands. These bands detect infrared vibrations (invisible to humans) within 850 meters capturing their nuances and combinations of absorption bands.
- Detect Details: The H30 has a superior observing effect on target details at 700m distance compared to the H20.
- Multi-Touch Gesture: Easily manage the H30’s camera capabilities using the touchscreen settings on the DJI RC Plus controller, allowing for simple user navigation to access advanced camera settings
- Powerful infrared: Works at temperatures between -20°C and 1600°C, achieving up to 32x digital zoom and Ultra HD mode.
H30 series photography modes
The H30 has three photography modes, all designed to help you capture accurate, high-quality data and footage.
- Click and aim: Easily control the gimbal by double-clicking your point of interest on DJI RC Plus and the camera will, in turn, move the gimbal until the selected area is in the center of the screen.
- One-finger swap: To adjust the gimbal angle, press and hold the screen until the slider appears, then slide a finger across the screen.
- 3-finger swipe: To hide all settings, simply swipe down with three fingers to hide all settings in the interface, allowing you to focus solely on looking at the camera feed.
H30 night scene mode
- NIR Auxiliary Light: When activated, the auxiliary light, also known as an IR spotlight, and the IR light option will turn on automatically. This changes the camera view to black and white while the auxiliary light enhances the illumination in the center of the screen.
- Black and White Mode: In this mode, the landscape appears in black and white and infrared light can be used to illuminate the area below without causing excessive brightness.
- Color Mode: With this feature, the IR filter that would cut off infrared light is removed, allowing you to see a brighter landscape. Improved noise reduction: In the night vision setting,
- You’ll find noise reduction options, which will allow you to tone down background noise while filming.
- Laser-assisted focusing: By default, a laser rangefinder aids focusing. With Night Scene mode and IR light activated, the laser dot is visible in the center of the camera view in black and white. You have the option to disable the laser module in On-Demand mode, which turns it off when the RNG function is not in use.
Supports color night vision
Both the zoom camera and wide-angle camera of the Zenmuse H30 series can switch to Night Scene mode in low-light conditions, improving the quality of live viewing and recording. This ensures operational efficiency and precision at night, allowing continuous operation from day to night.
Supports black and white night vision and NIR illumination
In Night Scene mode, the Zenmuse H30 series zoom camera supports IR light for infrared enhancement and NIR illumination. The camera switches from the live feed to a grayscale image by removing the IR filter, thus strengthening the contrast between light and dark areas and making it easier to identify subjects. When the NIR auxiliary light is activated, the zoom camera can benefit from additional NIR illumination, especially useful for night surveillance and search and rescue operations.
Temperature measurement range -20°C to 1600°C
With the installation of an infrared density filter, the infrared camera can measure temperatures up to 1600°C, 3 times higher than the previous generation. This is particularly useful for firefighting and high-temperature operations, as it allows you to more effectively assess temperature variations and quickly locate hot spots, increasing the efficiency of rescue operations.
